The Mississippi Search and Rescue Association is a non-Profit organization dedicated to assisting all Search and Rescue Teams in the State. As such it has guidelines that govern its operation.

Searchers Using Pully System
Promoting and encouraging Search and Rescue and the organizations engaged therein
Promote professionalism and good ethics of Search and Rescue Operations
To foster, encourage and promote the constant upgrading of skills, abilities, and qualifications and educational requirements of Search and Rescue Personnel
To offer information and guidance on governmental policies related to Search and Rescue
To Promote the public welfare and the education of the general public in preventative Search and Rescue measures
To encourage the association of Search and Rescue responders with Search and Rescue
All volunteer teams and paid professionals within the State of Mississippi are eligible to join and assist in providing feedback and input into all association matters.
The Association has a Board of Directors and District Directors that assist in answering questions for each of the teams within their respective area of responsibility. In addition to individual membership which is only $10 per year, Team and organizations can join as a group for $25 per year dues.
